Consumer Data Privacy Protection

Select US states have passed consumer data privacy laws that grant consumers more control over the personal information that businesses collect, use, and share about them. Residents of the following states are currently protected by consumer privacy laws:

• California
• Colorado
• Connecticut
• Virginia

Consumers who reside in any of the above privacy law states have the right to make the following requests of OfferUp:

• To opt out of having their information shared for the purpose of cross-contextual advertising.
• To have their information deleted.
• To know what information is collected about them.
• To get a copy of the information collected about them in a portable format, if possible.

Opt out of having your info shared

If you’re a resident of a privacy law state, you can opt out of having your data shared for the purpose of cross-contextual advertising by turning on the Do Not Sell feature. Enabling this feature will tell OfferUp not to sell or share identifiers with advertisers or other third parties. Opting out doesn't mean that you’ll stop seeing ads on our platform, but they will no longer be personalized based on your prior interests and activity on OfferUp.

NOTE

The Do Not Sell feature is only visible to residents in privacy law states.

In the app On the web As an anonymous user

1. Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner to access your account.
3. Under Account, tap Account Settings.
4. Scroll down to the Privacy section, then tap Edit next to Advertising.
5. Turn on the Do Not Sell toggle to enable the opt-out feature.

You do not have to be logged in to your OfferUp account to opt out of having your information shared. To opt out without logging in, complete the following steps:

1. Visit OfferUp.com.
2. On the Home page, click About in the top right corner.
3. Select Advertising Preferences.
4. Turn on the Do Not Sell toggle to enable the opt-out feature.

Request to have your info deleted
