In the app
In the OfferUp mobile app, you can update any part of your account, including your profile picture, contact information, password, and color scheme.
Log in to the OfferUp mobile app to get started.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner to access your Account.
- Tap your profile picture again to update the photo.
- Tap Take a Photo to take a new picture with your mobile device’s camera or tap Select Photo to choose one from your gallery.
- Once you have a photo you like, tap Use Photo.
These options are located under Account on the Settings page.

- Tap Account Settings.
- Tap Edit next to the information you want to update.
- Follow the prompts to update and save the information.
If you update your username, please make sure to follow our Community guidelines regarding appropriate profile content.
Updating your phone number or email will require verification. We’ll send you a one-time verification code by text or email.
This option is located under Color Theme on the Settings page.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner to access your Account.
- Tap Account Settings.
- Choose your preferred color theme.
Device setting will detect the theme you’ve chosen for your overall device and automatically apply it to the OfferUp app.
Light mode is usually the default theme and uses dark text displayed against a lighter background.
Dark mode uses lighter text displayed against a darker background.
On the web
On the website, you can only update a limited amount of your account information. This information includes your display name, contact information (email address and phone number), location, password, and color theme.
Log in to get started.
- Click on your avatar.
- Select Account settings.
- Tap Edit next to the information you want to update.
- Follow the prompts to update and save the information.
If you change your email address, you’ll need to verify the new address. Check your email and follow the instructions. If you didn’t get the email, click Confirm email to try again.

- Choose your preferred theme.
